Colored annotations of the pulmonary arterial tree to help with learning to follow the branches when reviewing CTPA studies. The arterial branches to each segment of the lungs should be followed in turn.
Case Discussion
When reviewing a CT pulmonary angiogram for possible pulmonary emboli, it is important to be systematic and review the arteries to each segment of the lungs. Pulmonary arteries should be reviewed on a minimum of two reconstructions to maximize the sensitivity of image interpretation.
