Cough on background of known lymphoma

Patient Data

Age: 85 years
Gender: Male

Elongated hyperdensities could be seen within the right and left pulmonary arteries extending into the segmental arterial branches, these are highly suspicious for pulmonary embolism .

With the addition of contrast, a saddle pulmonary embolism was confirmed.

Case Discussion

An 85 year old male patient with a known history of lymphoma presented to clinic with cough.

Non-contrasted images were obtained to exclude infectious process, and suspicious pulmonary hyperdensities were seen in the vasculature.

 Further contrasted images were obtained and confirmed saddle pulmonary embolism.
