Peripheral wedge of airspace opacity in the right middle zone - "Hampton's hump".
Filling defects in the pulmonary arteries bilaterally with a triangular shaped peripheral opacity of lung parenchyma in the right middle lobe as a result of lung infarction secondary to pulmonary embolism.
Case Discussion
The chest X-ray demonstrates a Hampton hump on the right. The CT scan demonstrates filling defects in the pulmonary arteries bilaterally with a triangular shaped peripheral opacity of lung parenchyma in the right middle lobe as a result of lung infarction secondary to pulmonary embolism.
