Filling defect on pulmonary arterial phase in the left lobar pulmonary artery consistent with pulmonary embolus. On lung windows there is a wedge-shaped area of consolidation in the left lower lobe.

The site and number of pulmonary emboli should be described: central, main, lobar, segmental or subsegmental vessels.
Associated signs include: straightening of the intraventricular septum from right heart strain or pulmonary infarction.
Signs of chronicity include: main pulmonary artery enlargement or vascular webs.
