Presentation

Incidental discovery of pulmonary nodule during routine chest x-ray.

Patient Data

Age: 52 years.
Gender: Female
x-ray

Well defined focal pulmonary focal lesion in the upper zone of the right lung field.

Very well defined pulmonary parenchymal focal lesion is seen within upper lobe of the right lung. It has dense central calcification with peripheral fat attenuation.The possibility of pulmonary hamartoma is suggested.

Case Discussion

In view of the described radiologic findings and by comparing to previous exams that show no appreciable changes since two years the diagnostic possibility of pulmonary hamartoma is considered.
