Chest pain and dyspnoea.

Patient Data

Age: 31
Gender: Male

Chest X-ray PA and Lateral: enlarged pulmonary trunk with associated small aortic arch, in this age group, would be in keeping with an ASD. The lungs are clear and no free sub-diaphragmatic air.


Case Discussion

This x-ray study illustrates a well-defined enlargement of pulmonary trunk and pulmonary arteries, in keeping with pulmonary hypertension. No further information was provided about this case, no aetiological confirmation.
