Multiple bilateral airspace opacities in a central peribronchovascular distribution with smooth thickening of the interlobular septae in the lung bases and apices
Bilateral mild pleural effusions.
Reactive mediastinal lymphadenopathy, a common finding in patients with pulmonary edema.
Case Discussion
The bilateral pleural effusions, as well as the cardiomegaly, are consistent with cardiogenic pulmonary edema in the presence of smooth interstitial thickening and alveolar opacities.
