Mediastinal window demonstrates a small focus of parenchymal consolidation in the right lower lobe adjacent to the spine, which receives 2 separate arterial supplies from the descending aorta. The venous drainage is via the right inferior pulmonary vein.
Lung windows demonstrate a cavernous component, which has no clear communication with the bronchial tree.
