Three hour headache

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female

Large hyperdense (acute) hemorrhage in the left putamina with a small fluid-fluid level anteriorly representing clot separated from plasma. 

Case Discussion

The basal ganglia are a common site for hypertensive hemorrhage, which forms part of the spectrum of stroke.
