Age: 9 weeks
Gender: Female

Ultrasound of the Pylorus

The pylorus is elongated measuring 2.1cm in length with a thickened muscular wall measuring 6mm. The target sign is demonstrated on transverse image, and the cervix sign is demonstrated on longitudinal images.

Case Discussion

This case demonstrates classic findings of pyloric stenosis in a 9 week old infant. 

Patient underwent treatment with pylorostomy with nil further issues.
