Presentation
Chronic left wrist pain on the radial side.
Patient Data

Abnormal intrasubstance increased fluid signal is present along the course of the radial collateral ligament next to the scaphoid bone related to radial collateral ligament tearing.
Case Discussion
The radial collateral ligament of the wrist originates from the radius styloid process and inserts onto the scaphoid bone. Some of the fibers also insert onto the trapezoid and the transverse carpal ligament.
The radial artery is an anatomical landmark between the radial collateral ligament and first extensor compartment (abductor pollicis longus and extensor pollicis brevis tendons).
