Presentation

Injury of the right elbow sustained during a fall.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

In the laterolateral radiograph of the right elbow, the prominent anterior and posterior fat pad signs are the most striking abnormalities, while the subtle, minimally displaced fracture visible at the posterior aspect of the radial head (see key image) requires careful scrutiny.
