Intra-articular displaced radial head fracture.

A radial head fracture with >2 mm of displacement and involving >30% of the articular surface can be classified as a Mason type II fracture.

Minimally displaced coronoid process fracture.

Case Discussion

Radial head fractures are the most common fractures of the elbow.

While unsdiplaced or minimally displaced fractures are often isolated injuries caused by low-energy trauma, displaced or comminuted fractures are mostly the result of high-energy trauma and may have associated injuries, such as the coronoid process fracture present in this case.

The Mason classification is the most commonly used to assess these fractures and may assist in deciding proper management.
