Patient Data

Age: Neonate
x-ray

X-ray of the arm demonstrates complete absence of the radius and thumb. 

Case Discussion

Features are consistent with radial ray anomaly type IV with complete absence of radius and thumb.

Radial ray anomalies comprise of a large spectrum of anomalies which range from partial radial hypoplasia to a complete radial aplasia with or without bones of the thumb.
