Small T1 high signal mass on the superior surface of the anterior pituitary contacting the distal infundibulum. The lesion is high T2 signal with a low T2 signal nodule, and demonstrates peripheral enhancement. The nodule contacts the undersurface of the optic chiasm and post chiasmatic right optic nerve. Remainder of the pituitary is unremarkable.
Case Discussion
This was an incidental finding on a work-up for headaches. The suprasellar location is less common but the imaging findings are typical for Rathke cleft cyst.
