Rectal adenocarcinoma

Diagnosis almost certain


Work up for pelvic pain and chronic constipation.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female

Increased wall thickness due to tumoral infiltration is present at the rectum, accompanied by perirectal fat stranding and several small regional lymph nodes. The mesorectal fascia is intact. 

The uterus is not seen due to prior resection.

Rectal mass; pathology proved adenocarcinoma with regional lymph nodes.
