Presentation

Abdominopelcvic pain and chronic constipation.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Male
mri

Mild asymmetric wall thickening due to tumoral infiltration is seen at the anterior aspect of the rectum. Mild fat stranding is seen in perirectal space. The fat plane between the thickened segment and the mesorectal fascia's anterior portion is obliterated. Peritoneal reflection is intact.

There is small lymphadenopathy with short axis diameter of 6 mm in the right side of the perirectal space.

Case Discussion

Pathology proved rectal adenocarcinoma with mesorectal fascia and regional lymph node involvement.
