Presentation

Chronic diarrhea and dyssynergic defecation.

Patient Data

Age: 35
Gender: Male
Fluoroscopy

Preliminary images are unremarkable.

The fluoroscopic images taken upon bearing up and bearing down demonstrate:

  • normal anorectal angle in the neutral position
  • minimal movement of the anorectal angle on bearing up
  • normal descent of the anorectal angle on bearing down

The fluoroscopic images taken upon defecating demonstrate:

The rectum emptied well, with a minimal amount of contrast remaining on post-evacuation images.
