Direct trauma to the thigh while playing football. Complaining of local pain for a few days.

There is focal loss of normal muscle echo pattern at the site of pain. It involves the rectus femoris muscle in the proximal thigh. A central fluid cleft is seen. There is local hypervascularity. The myotendinous junction is normal.
