An ill-defined anechoic collection is observed in the intramuscular region of the right rectus abdominis muscle, displaying an internal fluid-fluid level.
Loss of normal fibrillar pattern of rectus muscle seen.
The internal contents were observed to change position with alterations in the patient's position, consistent with a haematoma.
Case Discussion
This case demonstrates a specific case of rectus muscle tear with haematoma which was later confirmed intraoperatively.
