Presentation
Speech disturbance and decreased concentration for one week.
Patient Data

Edematous left corpus striatum (left caudate head and lentiform nuclei, including part of the anterior limb of the left internal capsule and sparing globus pallidus) with low T1, high T2 and FLAIR signal and evident diffusion restriction. Foci of internal SWI blooming are noted reflecting hemorrhagic changes.
Case Discussion
Radiological features are in favor of acute infarction along the territory of left recurrent artery of Huebner.
The recurrent artery of Huebner is a prominent medial lenticulostriate branch arising from the A1 or very proximal A2 segment of the anterior cerebral artery. It supplies the head of caudate, anterior portion of the lentiform nucleus and anterior limb of the internal capsule.
