Presentation

Low back pain.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Female

Advanced degenerative changes of the lumbosacral spine with lost normal high signal intensity of all disc spaces on T2WI, multiple anterior osteophytes, reduced disc heights as well as multi-level Schmorl nodes. Lost lumbar lordosis.

Multiple levels disc bulges with subsequent spinal canal stenosis at the examined levels more severe at L4-5. The cauda equina nerve roots above the level of L4-5 appear elongated, tortuous, and coiled.
