Renal angiomyolipoma

The CT scan demonstrate:
- dilated common bile duct (14 mm) with a stone (10 mm) in its distal portion
- a well-defined exophytic mass of fatty density (-96 HU) measuring 53 x 44 x 42 mm arising from the upper pole of the right kidney and extending to the renal sinus
Case Discussion
Angiomyolipomas are often found incidentally when the kidneys are imaged for other reasons (as in this case), or as part of screening in patients with tuberous sclerosis.
