Presentation

Work up for flank pain.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female

A 30 x 20 mm fat-containing mass is present at the mid-portion of the left kidney which shows heterogeneous enhancement on postcontrast images. 

Thin-walled non-enhanced cysts measuring 38 mm and 35 mm are seen at right and left adnexa respectively.

Case Discussion

Left renal fat-containing mass, most consistent with angiomyolipoma which is considered the most common benign solid renal lesion and also the most common fat-containing lesions of the kidneys
