Case Discussion

Tuberous sclerosis complex is known to be associated with different hamartomas including renal angiomyolipoma 1. An initial presentation with seizure and cafe-au-lait spots in this child had prompted suspicion of tuberous sclerosis and was scheduled for further screening which revealed renal angiomyolipoma. The patient took a genetic test which also came positive for tuberous sclerosis.

This case was prepared with the contribution of Dr Fatma Nihan Aydemir.
