Axial C+ arterial phase

There is a nidus of abnormal vessels, some with wall calcifications, consistent with arteriovenous malformation occupying the upper and middle third segments of the right kidney. The lesion is supplied by branches of the right renal artery. There is early venous drainage into the right renal vein and inferior vena cava.
Bilateral subcentimeter nephrolithiases are also observed.
Case Discussion
This case demonstrates an arteriovenous malformation of the right kidney. Renal arteriovenous malformations are rare congenital communications between the renal artery and vein with a vascular nidus that bypass the capillary bed.
