Axial non-contrast
Study shows bosselated renal cortical contour of the upper pole in right kidney, with same attenuation of normal parenchyma.
Solid renal mass with soft tissue attenuation and heterogeneous enhancement on contrast phases.
Case Discussion
The patient underwent nephrectomy, which confirmed the diagnosis.
Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a malignant tumour derived from the renal epithelium. It is the most common malignant renal tumour, with a variety of radiographic appearances, and increasing scope for percutaneous intervention.
