Hematuria at a routine examination.

Patient Data

Age: 63
Gender: Male

Prior ultrasound examination (images not available) revealed right renal solid mass.

Modality: CT

Solid renal mass with soft tissue attenuation and heterogeneous enhancement on contrast phases. 

Case Discussion

The patient underwent nephrectomy, which confirmed the diagnosis.

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a malignant tumour derived from the renal epithelium. It is the most common malignant renal tumour, with a variety of radiographic appearances, and increasing scope for percutaneous intervention.
