Renal cell carcinoma

H/o trauma - 3 days back. Right sided abdominal colic - 1 day. Radiograph of pelvis - Undisplaced fracture of right superior and inferior pubic rami.

Patient Data

Age: 60 yrs
Gender: Female

LEFT kidney  - Solid mass lesion near upper pole. Lesion is mildly hyperechoic to renal parenchyma.

RIGHT kidney - NO calculus / back pressure / mass lesion.

Case Discussion

Right sided abdominal colic was due to right vesico-ureteric junction calculus. Mild hydroureter was present without hydronephrosis ( images not uploaded ).

Incidently found solid lesion near left renal pole was further investigated.

Left nephrectomy  done.

Histopathology - Renal cell carcinoma.

Stage I - T1 N0 M0
