A 35 mm well defined cystic solid mass is seen in the upper pole of the right kidney. The neoplasm has a mildly lower density to normal renal parenchyma on non-enhanced CT scan. Post-contrast nephrographic-phase CT scan shows that the mass enhances less than normal renal parenchyma. No local invasion to adjacent structures is noted. The renal vein is intact.
Case Discussion
Right renal mass without local invasion or regional lymphadenopathy - pathologically proven renal cell carcinoma.
