Renal hydatid cyst

Back pain from last one year. Occasional fever and dysuria.

Patient Data

Age: 22
Gender: Male

A well defined large cystic lesion is seen in mid and lower pole region of left kidney, with peripheral coarse rim calcification, and multiple daughter cysts within.

Case Discussion

Hydatid cyst may occur virtually anywhere in coelomic cavities, as seen as intrarenal occurence in this case.
