The left kidney shows areas of laceration ( >1 cm) seen as linear or wedge-shaped opacification defects with capsular effraction with minimal perirenal hematoma and thickening of the perirenal fascias. The collecting system is preserved with no urine extravasation in the perirenal space on the delayed images. No vascular injury is seen or active bleeding.
Case Discussion
CT features consistent with left renal injury with no vascular injury or involvement of the collecting system (grade III, according to AAST kidney injury scale).
