Abdominal pain and fullness. Recent shortness of breath.

Patient Data

Age: 53 years
Gender: Female
  • Large matted groups of retro-peritoneal lymph nodes that encase the major vessels, anteriorly displacing the aorta and extends into the left perinephric compartment to encase the kidney as well.
  • Multiple pathological mesenteric lymph nodes.
  • Bilateral pleural effusions.
  • Cystic lesion at the tail of pancreas.

Para-aortic lymph nodes biopsy result.

Case Discussion

One of the common presentations of renal involvement with lymphoma is invasion from the retro-peritoneal nodal mass as demonstrated in this case.
