Head injury. On dialysis long term. Incidental finding in skull.

Subtle but definite widespread lytic change throughout the skull vault

Case Discussion

Appearances are known as a "pepper pot" skull and are due to the effects of elevated parathyroid hormone causing widespread osteoclastic activity in an attempt to clear phosphate from the blood
