- hazy lungs with symmetrical diffuse ground-glass opacities and air bronchogram
- orogastric tube, with the tip in the stomach
- endotracheal (ET) tube in a normal position
Case Discussion
Respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) is a consequence of surfactant deficiency in premature infants. Neonatal pneumonia is the main differential diagnosis.
