Spot film taken during fluoroscopy study shows a 'Reverse J' appearance of right ureter
This is seen to occur at the level of L4 vertebra and extending upwards
This configuration of ureter has caused proximal dilatation of ureter and pelvicalceal system
Case Discussion
Case of retrocaval ureter (low loop type)
Also known as circumcaval ureter
It is an anomaly of the ureter which occurs due to persistence of the subcardinal vein.
