Non-contrast CT of the head shows an extra-axial hyperdense collection with a mean attenuation of 65 UH, located along the dorsum sellae, the clivus and reaching the dens.
Case Discussion
Retroclival hematoma typically occurs in the epidural space, following head trauma.
This case demonstrates a spontaneous retroclival hematoma, which is a rare complication of oral anticoagulant therapy.
