Presentation
Abdominal pain with mild fever. The ultrasound exam revealed a soft tissue mass around the aorta (aneurysm ? other ?). CT angiography was requested.

Soft tissue mass encasing the infrarenal aorta and partially the IVC, extending to the aortic bifurcation. No aneurysmal dilatation of the abdominal aorta. No hydronephrosis.
Two small simple hepatic cysts in segments 4a and 2 (known).
Case Discussion
CT features of retroperitoneal fibrosis. No cause was found in this case.
