Presentation

Right flank pain and palpable mass on physical exam.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Male

A large cystic lesion with internal septations and solid enhancing components is seen in RLQ, accompanied by an increase in the amount and density of surrounding fat. These lesions displace structures upward and leftward.

The prostate gland is enlarged. 

pathology

The patient underwent mass resection and histopathology evaluation confirmed liposarcoma.

Retroperitoneal liposarcoma is one of the most common primary retroperitoneal neoplasms and a subtype of liposarcoma that may arise in any fat-containing region of the body.
