Case Discussion

Regarding the imaging findings, retroperitoneal lymphangioma is the first differential diagnosis. Other differentials include pseudocyst, epidermoid cyst, and lymphocele.

The head and neck, as well as axillary regions, are the most common site of lymphangioma with about 95% prevalence. Approximately 5% of all lymphangiomas occur in the mesentery, retroperitoneum, abdominal viscera, lung, or mediastinum.
