Marked widening of the pre-vertebral soft tissue with air fluid level.

Case Discussion

Findings are typical for retropharyngeal abscess formation, which is  is a potentially life-threatening infection involving the retropharyngeal space that requires prompt diagnosis and aggressive therapy.
