Presentation
This patient presented to the outpatient department with a two month history of a throat tightness and mild dysphagia. Flexible nasal endoscopy revealed a large retropharyngeal mass. He subsequently underwent Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

A large heterogeneous fatty retropharyngeal mass with features consistent of a liposarcoma. The lesion extends as far as the medial border of the carotid sheath on each side. It extends into theh fat anterior to the upper thoracic vertebra in the upper mediastinum.
Case Discussion
The patient underwent further staging scans which were negative metastasis. He underwent subsequent surgical resection. The histology came back as well differentiated liposarcoma.
