Retroverted uterus with polycystic ovaries

The uterus is tilted backwards approaching the rectum. It is retroverted-retroflexed.
Small hyperintense T2 cystic lesion in the cervix of the uterus, likely Nabothian cyst.
Both ovaries are enlarged in size, showing multiple small uniform peripheral follicles that are hyperintense in T2 and central hypointense stroma in T2.
Case Discussion
A retroverted uterus is an anatomic variant where the uterus is tilted backwards. Posterior angulation with the vagina is termed retroversion and posterior angulation of the uterine body to the cervix is termed retroflexion.
Ovarian enlargement with multiple peripheral located follicles and T2 hypointense stroma are suggestive of polycystic ovaries.
