Known rheumatoid arthritis, progressive deformity of the feet.

Right foot
Marginal erosions at the 2nd-5th metatarsalphalangeal joints, worse at the fifth
Ankylosis at the second and third proximal interphalangeal joints
Erosion is also noted at the medial aspect of the first tarsometatarsal joint
Left foot
Marginal erosions at the 2nd-5th metatarsalphalangeal joints, as well as the first and fifth interphalangeal joints
Erosion is also noted at the medial aspect of the first tarsometatarsal joint
Ankylosis at the 2nd-4th interphalangeal joints
Case Discussion
This is an example of advanced rheumatoid arthritis in a patient in their forties.
Bilaterally within the feet, the changes are relatively symmetrical which is typically in rheumatoid.
