Age: 40 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

The lungs and pleural spaces are clear. Cardiomediastinal contours and hilar regions within normal limits. Incidental prominant left rhomboid fossa of the clavicle on the left - a normal variant.

Case Discussion

At the attachment of the costoclavicular (rhomboid) ligament, there may be a tuberosity or depression, known as the rhomboid fossa of variable size that may mimic disease. A rhomboid fossa is more common in younger adults and males.
