Case Discussion

The chest radiograph reveals what was assumed to be a pleurally based mass in the right upper chest wall.  The subsequent CT confirmed the presence of the abnormality.

However, the mass was centered on the rib, with non-aggressive appearances and expansion of the bone.

Features are those of an enchondroma of the rib.
