Info

A well-defined exophytic peripherally corticated cauliflower-shaped bony lesion arising from the anterior aspect of the anterior arch of the left 3rd rib showing medullary continuity with the mother bone and dense ring and arch calcifications. The overall size of this lesion is 5.2 x 4.3 x 5.5 cm. No aggressive periosteal reaction.

Remodelling of the fourth rib is noted due to the mass effect of the lesion.

No significant surrounding infiltrative changes are seen.

Case Discussion

The features are very likely of a benign-appearing bony growth, most likely osteochondroma.
