Presentation

15 month old child presents with a seizure. Found to be hypocalcaemic.

Patient Data

Age: 15 months
Gender: Female
Modality: X-ray

Radiographs of the wrist and knee demonstrate metaphyseal splaying, cupping and fraying, as well as generalised osteopaenia.  Similar findings at the rib ends on the chest x-ray.

Modality: X-ray

Chest radiograph demonstrates rib end expansion.
