Leg deformity.

Patient Data

Age: 24 months
Gender: Male

Metaphyseal flaring and fraying seen at both proximal and distal tibia. There is slight outward bowing of both tibia. 

Case Discussion

Rickets is the paediatric musculoskeletal manifestation of osteomalacia. It occurs by deficiency of vitamin D, calcium, phosphorus, and/or alkaline phosphate.
