Right acromioclavicular joint injury on chest x-ray

Presentation

Wardrobe fell onto right side. Shortness of breath.

Patient Data

Age: 80 years
Gender: Female

Right AC joint injury. Right 1st and 2nd rib fractures. 

Sternotomy wires noted. Lungs and pleural space are clear. Small hiatus hernia. The mediastinal contour is unremarkable. Sternotomy and mediastinal surgical clips. 

Right AC joint injury. Right 1st and 2nd rib fractures. No glenohumeral joint dislocation or humeral fracture. 

Case Discussion

"Edge of film" case with the AC joint injury and rib fractures not easily seen initially but quite apparent when recognized.
