Nearly 9 cm irregular right atrial mass with heterogenous enhancement narrowing the superior cavoatrial junction. The mass invades the pericardium with nodular pericardial thickening and pericardial fat stranding.

Greater than 20 small pulmonary nodules in each lung measuring up to 6 mm many demonstrating surrounding ground-glass attenuation concerning haemorrhagic metastatic disease.

Bilateral small pleural effusions.

Case Discussion

Typical appearance of a cardiac angiosarcoma: these primary cardiac malignancies characteristically involve the right atrium and invade the pericardium. Lung nodules indicate metastatic disease to lung.
